Holcombe are aiming for back-to-back wins as they take on out-of-form Beeston on Saturday evening (6pm).
Barry Middleton’s side sit in standalone third after a 12-1 win over the University of Nottingham last weekend made it four wins in five league matches.
Captain Nick Bandurak returned to the side in Nottingham after missing three games with injury, scoring six goals to boost his top-scorer push.
Tom Russell and Alex Pendle both added braces as their impressive goal-scoring form continued, both having scored four in their last three matches.
Tim Guise-Brown returns from injury to face Beeston but Greg Nolan misses out against his former club.
Beeston won three of their opening five games but have since conceded 25 goals in just three games, losing 12-4 to Old Georgians, 9-1 to Surbiton and 4-3 to Oxted to leave them in eight-place.
Holcombe took four points from last season’s two meetings, drawing 3-3 at the Nottingham Hockey Centre in Phase One after a late Bees comeback before winning 6-1 at Holcombe Park in Phase Three, the goals including another Bandurak hat-trick.
Entry at Holcombe Park is free on Saturday. The match will be streamed on Veo Live and updates posted on our social media channels.
