A National League Hockey Club, part of Holcombeians Sports Club

We are an established and inclusive club with a vision to provide a home of hockey for all. You will always be made to feel welcome when you join us at Holcombe Park – whether as a player, a supporter, a volunteer or an official.

Our Men’s and Women’s first-teams both play in the England Hockey National League (Men’s Premier Division and Women’s Premier Division), which sees them compete against the best teams in the country. Our first-team players are all committed to performing at the highest standard and the club is firmly behind these aspirations.

Our Men’s team features former Trinidad & Tobago international and current Great Britain assistant coach Kwan Browne as Head Coach, who also brings his wealth of experience to the club as our Director of Hockey, Scotland international Robert Field, GB and England players Ollie Payne, and Sam Taylor, alongside another rising star in the national squad, Alex Pendle. New Zealand internationals Brad Read, Tim Neild and Matt Symonds and former Pakistan captain Ali Shan are also in the squad. Our Women’s first-team squad includes England junior international Tilly Woodhead.

We have something for everyone, whether you’re new to the sport or looking to develop your existing hockey skills. We offer competitive, social and inclusive hockey opportunities, within our 10 men’s and five women’s senior teams, through to our junior programme for under-8s to under-18s. You can play in a competitive league structure, join our popular social adult ‘Back To Hockey’ or junior ‘Hockey Heroes’, take part in our inclusive ‘Flyerz’ hockey sessions, or just come to watch hockey action from the comfort of our terrace which overlooks our water-based pitch.

Our junior section continues to go from strength-to-strength and we have an established support team developing the section. Junior training – on a Sunday morning and Tuesday evening – currently attracts over 200 participants aged five to 18-years-old.

Our senior club coaches include GB assistant coach Kwan Browne, former Trinidad & Tobago forward Dillet Gilkes and New Zealand international Brad Read. All coaches bring a wealth of experience to the club. Kwan and Brad support coach education throughout the club and believe in growing the player pathway from the junior to adult section. We also have dedicated coaches for every team, ensuring consistent training and development throughout.

Please continue to browse our website and social media channels, which will provide you with an insight into our club. If you have any questions, please contact a member of the committee through our contacts page.

We look forward to welcoming you to our ‘home of hockey’ here at Holcombe Park.
