Congratulations to Holcombe players Ollie Payne, Rohan Bhuhi and Matt Ramshaw who have been named in England’s squad for their upcoming FIH Pro League matches in India.
Sam Taylor was also named in the initial squad but has since withdrawn through injury.
Director of Hockey and Men’s 1s Head Coach Kwan Browne will also be in India as assistant coach to interim head coach Zak Jones.
Payne recently competed in the Hockey India League alongside James Albery, James Mazarelo and former Holcs Phil Roper and Sam Ward, all of whom are returning to India for this leg of matches against the hosts and Spain.
England, unbeaten so far this season, are currently second in the Pro League standings behind the Netherlands with four games-in-hand, while India sit bottom having not yet played a match in this season for the showpiece tournament.
Spain are sixth with one win, a draw and two defeats from their four matches.
Two former Holcombe players have been selected in the women’s squad in Lottie Bingham and Miriam Pritchard.
