Holcombe are looking to return to winning ways as they face Reading on Saturday afternoon at Holcombe Park in the first part of a Premier Division double-header weekend(16:00).
Holcs have started their Premier Division campaign with two wins and two defeats, beating Wimbledon and Bowdon by a goal apiece in the first two matches before losing 4-1 to Hampstead & Westminster and 1-0 to University of Birmingham.
New Zealander Olivia Shannon will be looking to continue her impressive scoring start having netted in each of the first three matches.
Reading sit top of the table early on in Phase One with four wins from four – scoring 18 goals with 13 of those coming in the last two matches.
They have conceded just three, too, ahead of what looks like another exciting encounter on Sunday against reigning champions Surbiton following this match.
Holcombe last faced this weekend’s opponents in the top-flight in March 2023 in Phase Three as they drew 1-1 with Reading at Sonning Lane, following a 2-2 draw at Sonning Lane in Phase Two in February of that year. In Phase One, also at Sonning Lane, the two sides drew 0-0 with nothing to separate the sides throughout that campaign.
Entry is free at Holcombe Park on Saturday with updates set to be provided across our social media channels. Our M1s also face Surbiton following this match (18:30) before both first-teams travel to East Grinstead tomorrow.
