Holcombe players Sean Parker and Jon Gurney won European Championships bronze over the weekend with England over-55s in Valencia, Spain.
England finished second in their pool having beaten Italy 6-0 and France 1-0 as well as losing 2-1 to the Netherlands, the eventual champions.
Gurney started every match with Parker involved from the bench each time, including England’s 1-0 win over Wales in the third/fourth-place play-off match to secure the bronze medal on Sunday.
