Congratulations to Holcombe player Felix Tully who has been selected in the England under-21s squad for the upcoming EuroHockey Under-21 Championships.
Hosted in Terrassa, Spain, the tournament will run from the 14th-21st July with the women’s event running from the 14th-20th at the same venue.
Tully has four caps for England under-21s and a further five for Great Britain’s under-21s, scoring one goal across nine appearances.
England kick off their campaign on the 14th against the Netherlands before facing Ireland two days later.
Their final pool match comes against Spain on July 17th with the top-two then qualifying for the semi-finals and bottom-two from each of the two pools entering into classification matches across the final days of the tournament.
Former Holcombe player and head coach Barry Middleton has also been named as an assistant coach to Jon Bleby.
The club would also like to congratulate former Holcombe players Lottie Bingham and Izzy Shelley on their inclusions in the women’s under-21 squad for the event.
Former Holcombe captain and head coach Leigh Maasdorp has also been named as an assistant coach to Simon Letchford.
England will take on Austria, Germany and Ireland in Pool B before either the semi-finals or classification matches.
